Want to know a little more about us? You’re in the right place. Here is a little more about who we are.
We are putting LEGS to our faith.
- Loving God
- Encouraging One Another
- Growing as Christ’s Disciples
- Sharing Jesus
Our purpose in life begins with loving God with our whole heart, mind, soul, and strength. In worship, we communicate our love to God. The audience of worship is always God. The leaders, singers, and musicians, prompt us in worship but God is always the one to be worshipped.
From the first human relationship, God said that it is not good for us to be alone. God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit demonstrates the importance of relationship. Scripture is full of passages calling us to encourage one another. God the Spirit is the great encourager who comes alongside us to comfort us, convict us, and inspire us to love and good deeds. Let us encourage one another even more as we wait for the return of Christ.
If you are a disciple of Jesus Christ, you want to keep growing closer to Christ and becoming more like Christ. As you come closer to Christ, you won’t be afraid to invite other disciples to follow your example. Disciples make other disciples by inviting them to follow as they follow Jesus. Someone is following your example, are you following the example of Christ?
The final LEG of our mission is to share Jesus with people who do not know how much He loves them. Sharing Jesus is a natural result of caring for someone. We earn the right to talk to them about what gives us hope because we truly care and have listened to them. When you care about people and Jesus, you cannot help but share what is important to you.
Pastor Bill and his wife Debbie have served the church for more than ten years. Bill planted churches in Arizona before coming to Crestline. They have two grown sons and two grandchildren. Debbie is usually loving on children in the nursery or helping to serve coffee, goodies, and meals to make people feel welcome. Pastor Bill is active in the community, has been the volunteer Chaplain for the Fire Department and is a leader in the local Rotary Club.
Dylan and his wife Alicia began as youth interns at First Baptist. They married and now serve as our youth ministers. Dylan also works in a discipleship ministry at Thousand Pines Christian Conference Center. Alicia has become the manager of our newest ministry, Higher Grounds Coffee House.
None of us are perfect people. However, we believe that God loves each one of us as we are. That means that you are very special! We would love to help you grow in God’s love and to learn to share that love with others. Please feel free to contact us with your questions about God or this ministry.
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
